[there's a shuffling near the entrance to Eden's realm, like someone tried to be inconspicuous about sneaking in but it turns out they're terrible at stealth.

It's for you. I mean, yes. Isabel doesn't know what a mabari is, so she didn't have one that looked quite right, but I thought this one looked a lot like it, and I didn't know what to do before but whenever someone on Takshaka is hurting, they always end up with stuffed toys and that helps, and I've done it myself once or twice and honestly it's really nice, and I thought about bringing a whole lot but then I thought you might still be mad so I just picked the one--

Yes, but it isn't what you remember, is it? Or Callie. So it means that my memories are all wrong, but I don't know how that would happen. What do you do when your memories are the wrong ones, but they don't seem wrong to you?

No. Doesn't sound like quite like what I remember. Most of it matches up.

Couldn't say. Not sure if I can even say whether or not they're entirely wrong. We are in a weird place where weird things happen. Not sure what to really make of it, but what I do know is that you remember enough.

[wah!! she goes even redder and her eyes dart around, like it's too dangerous to look at Hawke's face, and rambles]

There's all sorts of parts that can come out, you know, I'm not very good at keeping them in, they just sort of spill about the place like marbles, or pebbles, or peppercorns, or biscuit crumbs, and then everything's a mess...!

Is that so? Aren't things always that much better when they're messy?

( placing the tips of her fingers against merrill's upper arm, just to keep her attention but without any intent to try and intimidate her. )
